M and Ms on the Freeway
This city lives by its freeways. Forget BART, DART and Metro. The freeways are so congested that a number of toll roads have been constructed. Those tolls adds up fast if you're doing an 80 mile round-trip commute every day. Those tollroads that haven't reached the saturation point yet give the well-heeled the chance to compare their Ferrari to your Lamborgini, but all they really want to do is get away from the M and M's. Maniacs and Morons. M and M's are any other drivers that are not driving the same speed as you (behind you, at a respectful distance). The Maniacs are the ones going faster than you, and the Morons are the ones going slower than you and getting in your way. Is there a caste system developing? If you would escape from the mosh pit of rush hour, dodging the gal in the rusty truck with all the dents and the guy with a rollbar and numbers on the side, then get out your wallet, and soon you too can be cruisin' down the tollroad without having to worry about spilling your beer because some jerk up ahead slowed down.
